CCI/Speer employees gathered at the Lewiston Fair Building in June for an employee appreciation event. Attendees braved the heat to enjoy the festivities and the chance to contribute to a good cause.
The bright yellow, orange, purple and red table decorations had a fiesta flare that fit perfectly with the tacos they served. Coltrain, a well-known local band that started in 1976, filled the building with country western jams.
With the fundraising activities on site during the event, CCI/Speer employees raised just over $5,000, which was split equally and donated to three randomly selected nonprofits of the Lewis Clark Valley. The company is proud to make a positive impact by helping such great organizations and giving back to the Lewis Clark Valley community.
The three organizations the company supported include:
Suicide Prevention of the Inland Northwest (SPIN), which works to reduce the stigma surrounding suicide and mental health. SPIN uses those research-based interventions in our region to work to reduce suicide deaths and remind our community that there is HOPE.
Family Promise of the Lewis Clark Valley, which helps adults and children move from the homeless population into sustainable permanent housing. This organization partners together with our faith community and local community agencies to provide positive solutions for families in crisis in our community; and
The Green Apple Project, which supports families impacted by autism. The Green Apple Project’s goal is to provide the community with enough education and support to create a place where children living with autism are not only tolerated but they are valued and respected.
Employees at CCI/Speer were thrilled to support these local organizations and look forward to future opportunities to contribute to other nonprofits in the area. Thank you to each employee who attended the event to enjoy the camaraderie and support these nonprofits!
