For the third year, CCI Speer held its annual Giving Back to the Community Ham and Turkey Giveaway.
CCI/Speer leadership and employees handed out 500 hams and over 350 turkeys to members of the community on Dec. 19. Hundreds of cars lined up at the Shopko parking lot three hours prior to the 4:00 p.m. event for a chance to receive a ham or turkey.
The event was advertised on KLEW TV, Nelly Broadcasting and the Lewiston Morning Tribune. Radio stations did live broadcasting and played Christmas music. Holiday lights sparkled and folks driving away with their gift did so with a smile.
The Salvation Army Turkey Giveaway
The day prior to its Giving Back to the Community Ham and Turkey Giveaway, the CCI-Speer team spread the spirit of meaningful giving by giving 100 turkeys to The Salvation Army of the Lewis & Clark Valley. This donation helped with the family Christmas boxes. This was the first year CCI/Speer gave to this great, charitable organization.
